This page will give you a thumbnail sketch of Nancy as a devoted wife and mother, a successful career woman and as a public speaker now seeking an opportunity to be of further service.

Married for 34 years to Grady R. Holder, Nancy is the mother to 3 children, 1 son and 2 daughters. Her children reside in Florida, Arizona, and Pennsylvania and have given Nancy 6 grandchildren.  In April 2003, after her husband passed away, she relocated from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Lancaster, Pennsylvania in order to be near her younger daughter and her family.

Following 34 years of continuous employment with UnumProvident Insurance Company, she retired in March 2000.  During those years Nancy was an IT (Information Technology) specialist.  Most notably she led her IT team to design, write, and maintain software systems that administered over 9 billion dollars worth of employer pension funds.  Amazingly, this was accomplished through 127 separate and distinct computer programs.

In retirement she remains very active as a Member of Lancaster County Speakers Bureau, and served as a Sunday School Teacher for 14 years.  She serves as a volunteer in the office of her church where she developed, implemented and now directs a ministry for widows.  She also sings in her church choir.

In parallel with the many achievements in both her family and career, Nancy’s tenure in the organization of Toastmasters International, is also marked with success.  She joined the organization in 1990 and earned her first Distinguished Toastmaster  (DTM) in 1995.  In the time since then she has earned a second DTM, and is now working to complete a third designation.

She is currently a member of three separate Toastmaster clubs, and has attended more Regional and District Conferences than anyone could possibly recall.  She is no stranger on the international level as she has attended eight (8) International Conventions.  She has served Toastmasters International in leadership positions as Public Relations Officer; Division Governor; Area Governor; and District Governor and has received many awards in recognition of her service.
